How to assess an Organization and how to develop a Change Strategy (Action Plan for Change / "Road Map")
Managers and staff of international and local organizations and institutions who have managerial/leadership or advisory roles and functions. Particularly manag¬ers, team and project leaders, staff members and consultants who are involved in international development cooperation and who want to improve their knowledge and skills in organizational diagnosis and preparing their organizations towards change. Counterparts and advisory staff (preferably small project groups of 3-4 members) who are involved both in sector tasks, organizational consultancy or any managerial task related to changes in their organization. Because of the course design – in which projects/programmes are central to the learning process – we suggest that each project/programme will be represented by at least two participants.
This orientation seminar is designed to provide practice-oriented insights into the workings of organizations, thus enabling participants to systematically analyze their organizations and to plan for systematic, needs-oriented organizational change processes.
Participants will
Experiential exercises, behavioural instruments, case studies, conceptual inputs and group analysis. The learning process will require considerable investment at the self level to optimize learning for personal enhancement.
